Stonehenge Therapeutic Community was founded in 1971 as a small, farm-based residential treatment program for men and women with a history of acute or chronic substance use issues. Since these modest beginnings, Stonehenge has expanded to become a specialized addiction services agency providing a broad scope of services to individuals, families, and communities experiencing harm related to substance use. With over 50 years of experience, we are proud of our roots in the community.
Services range from a 42 bed long-term residential treatment program to a variety of community-based services along the harm reduction continuum including supportive housing, addiction medicine & withdrawal services, and community and justice programs. As a not-for-profit organization, our services are free of charge and can be accessed by anyone in the community. Through our residential program we also provide services to individuals coming out of the provincial and federal correctional system. At Stonehenge we envision communities where people using substances are welcomed, supported and thriving and we strive everyday to help make this vision a reality.
