In August 2024, 10 Shelldale Permanent Supportive Housing welcomed 32 community members home. These are people who had been living with chronic homelessness, complex mental-health and substance-use challenges, and significant physical-health needs. Since opening, the program has offered stability, dignity, and renewed hope, showing what’s possible when a community works together.
This innovative housing initiative is made possible through a strong partnership between:
- Stonehenge Therapeutic Community – providing 24/7 on-site mental-health and addiction support
- Guelph Community Health Centre – ensuring residents have access to primary healthcare
- Kindle Communities – offering safe, trauma-informed property management and supportive housing
